Does Beano lessen the beneficial health effects of fiber?

It’s a common recommendation these days that people should eat a lot of fiber for colon health, heart health etc. But as we know, foods that are high in fiber often cause flatulence. Beano contains an enzyme that breaks down certain sugars in foods that cause gas. But is Beano breaking down the chemicals that are supposedly good for colon and heart health? In this sense, could be Beano be undermining the health value of high-fiber foods?
Perhaps a good question to ask is: are the chemicals that Beano digests the same chemicals that cause the healthful effects of fiber?
